1 . Rise of Consumer Awareness
In the the positive effect, liberalization and privatization era, most of the economic decisions are taken by the industry. Though, the federal government has withdrawn itself by many economical activities, that interferes usually when the marketplace mechanism neglects due to structural rigidities in the economy and other elements, to provide services and goods to the people. Ingestion is one of the significant economic actions, which needs regular federal government intervention, while market is unable to promote reliability and wellbeing aspects of the consumers. On the other hand, consumers must be aware not only of the business aspects of sale and purchase of products but also of the health and security aspect also. Besides this, they must be aware of their very own rights and duties becoming as logical human beings.
Though, the first consumer movement began in England following the Second World War, a contemporary declaration regarding the customer's rights was first made in UNITED STATES in the year 62, where 4 basic buyer rights we. e. choice, information, security and right to be noticed were recognized. Ralph Bracear, a consumer eager beaver is considered because the father of " Buyer Movement”. 15th March is currently celebrated while the World Buyer Rights Day time. The U. N. U. also implemented in the year 1985, certain recommendations to achieve the objectives of keeping protection for consumers and establish high level ethical perform for those engaged in production and distribution of goods and providers. In India, 24th Dec is famous as " Consumer's Day” every year.
